P.O.L. Umbilical Cord Blood Donation Program:

Due to the lack of donors within the minority community, P.O.L. established an umbilical cord blood program that will be available in hospitals that are located in highly minority populated-areas. P.O.L. will partner OB/GYN clinics to promote umbilical cord blood donation to increase the available numbers in the national registry. This program will launch at Harlem Hospital in Fall 2010.

The Jaden Hilton Initiative will:

Directed by Assemblyman Keith Wright, it was announced that on this day, the state of New York is calling May 3rd the official:  "Bone Marrow and Umbilical Cord Blood Donation Day"
