Preserve Our Legacy Umbilical Cord Blood Program
Preserve Our Legacy has partnered with Harlem Hospital and Hip-Hop Public Health Education Center to create awareness through a grass-root program to increase the percentages, for life saving treatment options through cord blood donation. This program is at no cost to the family and is donated to the public bank. Dr. Edgar Mandeville, Director of OB/GYN, Shana Melius, MBA (Co-Founder) and Dr. Olajide Williams, with Hip Hop Stroke will lead the program.
The program launched on December 21, 2010. Dr. Edgar Mandeville collected the first historical cord blood unit.

Bone Marrow Donor Drives
We will host various bone marrow drives, along with different events. By creating the awareness needed through out various communities, our goal is to increase the percentages for a patient in need of finding a unrelated match.
